Although students with disabilities can receive accommodations and services at college, their IEPs and 504 plans have no legal bearing once they graduate from high school. The laws in effect at college are the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. High school 504 plans have no bearing at college because subsection D applies to high schools, and subsection E applies to colleges.
Students with disabilities are responsible for requesting accommodations and services by applying for them through what is typically called the Disability Services office.
